York City Football
York City Football Club was founded in 1922 in North Yorkshire. The club play their home games in the 9,600 capacity KitKat Crescent Stadium named after ground sponsors Rowntree-Nestle's well known product.
York City play their home games in strip of red shirts with white bands at the end of the sleeves, white shorts and red socks. The away strip is yellow shirts with blue shorts and socks. The club colours are yet to be donned at the peak of the game but have featured in FA Cup semi finals in 1954/5 and previously the quarter finals in 1937/8. Then more recently York City appeared in the League Cup Quarter finals of 1961/2.
