Wrexham Football
Wrexham Association Football Club nicknamed The Red Dragons or The Robins are a football team based in North East Wales, but play in the English league. They were founded in 1872 and play their home games at the 15,500 capacity Racecourse Ground in Wrexham.
The Robins play their home games in red shirts with a white strip under the arm, white shorts and red socks. The Wrexham away kit is black shirts with red piping, black shorts and socks. Wrexham's red shirt has been donned with some success winning the Welsh Cup on many occasions and in their 1990-91 Cup Winners Cup campaign they were knocked out by Manchester United who went on to win the trophy. A year later they were FA Cup giantkiller knocking Arsenal out of the competition. The best known player to play for Wrexham is Ian Rush who made 18 appearances for the club the end of his career.
