Walsall Football

Walsall Football Club were founded in 1888 when Walsall Town and Walsall Swifts joined forces, they entered the Football League in 1892 as founder members of the then new Second Division. The Saddlers as they are nicknamed play their home games in the 11,300 capacity Bescot Stadium which was built in 1990 to replace Fellows Park their longstanding home.

Walsall play their home games in red shirts with white shorts and socks, the away strip is white shirts with red shorts and white socks. Walsall's red kit has been worn by some notable players at the beginning of their careers a couple of examples being: Allan Clarke who went on to play for Leeds under Don Revie and Phil Parkes who went on to play for Queens Park Rangers in their heyday.
