Theo Walcott was born on the 16th of March 1989 in London, England. When appearing in England's friendly win over Hungary at Old Trafford in April 2006, Theo became England's youngest ever full international at 17 years and 75 days old. He had already come to the public notice with a suprise call up to the England World Cup squad for the World Cup Finals of 2006 in Germany. All this before making his first Premiership appearance for Arsenal.
Theo started his professional career playing for Southampton, and starred in their youth team's succesful run to the FA Youth Cup Final in 2005, he played in Southamptons reserve team at fifteen years old and was the clubs youngest ever player at 16 years & 143 days in a game against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Coca-Cola Football League Championship. One his full first team run out, he scored his first club goal, netting against Leeds United at Elland Road, he then scored again four days later on his debut versus Millwall.
Many English clubs were touted in tabloid speculation over his future during the January 2006 transfer window, when it was clear Southampton would not achieve promotion back to the Premiership. Theo Walcott signed for Arsenal for a fee of £5 million pounds which will rise dependant on appearances for club & country, to approximately £12 million.
