Christian Vieri Italy kit
Christian Vieri has gone around a huge number of clubs during his playing career. He currently plays for Italian Serie A club Fiorentina. He started his playing career at Italian small part-time club Prato in 1989.
At Prato he made no appearances and went on to join other small clubs until 1995, when he joined his first top-flight club Atalanta. His inability to settle down at a club is evident. Rarely does he spend more than a season at a particular team, and joining an impressive 15 clubs in 19 years.
After Atalanta, he had other one-season spells at Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Lazio. The only club which looked like making Mr Vieri settle down in one place was Inter. He joined the Italian giants in 1999 and he played for them until 2005. Here he scored a magnificent 103 goals in 143 appearances. He is considered one of the best players to play for Inter in the club.s history.
He joined rival neighbours AC Milan in 2005 but again spent a single season here, followed by short spells at Monaco and Atalanta (again).
He was presented to the fans of Fiorentina on the 21st July 2007 for a reported fee of $2.75 million. At the age of 34, one has to wait and see if this will be the first and last season at Fiorentina. For the Italian national team, Vieri has played 49 times between 1997 and 2005, the year when he retired, scoring 22 goals.
