Uganda Football
The Uganda national football team are nicknamed The Cranes, they play in the African Nations world cup qualifying groups. They played their first international match against Kenya in Nairobi, Kenya on the 1st May 1926 drawing the game 1-1.
Uganda play their home games in the striking colours of white shirts with a black band down the middle, black shorts and white socks. The away strip is yellow shirts with red shorts and socks. The Ugandans have never featured in the World Cup and their best finish in the African Nations Cup was second in 1978.
