Udinese Football
Udinese Calcio is a professional Italian football team based in the town of Udine, Italy. The team was founded in 1896 and plays at the Stadio Friuli in Udine. They are currently playing in the Serie A. Udinese are affectionately known as Bianconeri and Zebrette as they play their home games wearing striped black and white shirts.
Udinese never really enjoyed European competition as their only best achievement was that of a UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2000. Currently, Udinese can qualify to participate in next year.s Uefa Cup as they are currently in seventh place, one point adrift of fifth place.
Udinese have had many famous great players who played in the black and white stripes and the most notable ones are: Stephen Appiah, Oliver Bierhoff, Morgan De Sanctis, Luigi del Neri, Giannichedda, Jankulovski, Iaquinta, Muntari, Jorgensen, Helveg, David Pizarro, Zico and Carsten Jancker.
