Torquay United Football
Torquay United nicknamed the Gulls, were formed in 1899 and they come from the seaside resort town of Torquay in Devon. Torquay play their home games in the 6,000 capacity Plainmoor Stadium
The Gulls play their home games in kit of yellow shirts with blue sleeves, yellow shorts and socks. United's away strip is all blue. The yellow Torquay shirt has been pulled on by few greats in the game but Neville Southall made 53 appearances in goal between 1998/2000 and Chris Waddle also played at the club near the end of his career. The club's most famous fan is Helen Chamberlain of Sky Sports' Soccer AM fame.
