Tiago Mendes is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a central midfielder. Tiago currently plays for Juventus. He started his career with Braga in 1999 where he spent two years. Benfica was his next career move and here he got 83 appearances and 20 goals. This led to hot interest from Chelsea who signed the player in 2004 but he only spent one season with the English giants.
He then left for a 2 year spell with French outfit Lyon where he had good games. He was then signed by Juventus in Summer 2007 where he has garnered a total of 14 appearances for the Turin club. He has struggled to settle with the Bianconeri so far. Tiago.s international career has been bright too with him capping a whopping 37 appearances for Portugal and scoring one goal.His main career honours include the Portuguese Cup, Premier League and France's Ligue 1
