Partick Thistle Football
Partick Thistle Football Club is a Scottish professional football team founded in 1876, they play their home games in the 10,880 all seater Firhill Stadium, Firhill Road, Maryhill in Glasgow, Scotland. The club originally played in the area of Partick which gave them their name.
Partick Thistle play their home games in brightly coloured shirts with red and yellow hoops and black sleeves with red ends, black shorts and yellow socks. The away strip is a distinctive blue shirt with yellow edging, yellow shorts and blue socks. The Thistle shirt has been pulled on by some notable players including; Alan Hansen who played for the club between 1973-77 before moving to Liverpool where he played from 1977 until 1990 and Bill Shankley who was the wonderfully successful Manager of Liverpool from 1959 to 1974.
