Sheffield United Football
Sheffield United were founded in 1889 and entered the football league in 1892, they were a professional team almost from their inception. The Blades as they are nicknamed play at Bramall Lane a 30,936 capacity stadium in Sheffield, England.
Sheff Utd won the English league in 1898 and have four FA Cup wins to their name. They are immortalised in Premiership history, having Brian Deane score the first ever Premier League goal in 1992 against Manchester United. Sheffield United along with Arsenal were the first team to have their match broadcast on radio, during their game in 1927.
Their home shirts are red and white striped, along with black shorts and socks. The away kit is all white. Famous fan Sean Bean wore the teams colours in the movie When Saturday Comes.
