The team from Usulutn in El Salvador was formed as Tecun Uman on the 23rd September 1923, changing its name in honour of the boxer Luis Angel shortly after. San Luis play their home games in the Sergio Torres Rivera Stadium in Usulutn, El Salvador.
Club San Luis play their home games in strip comprising a main purple body with orange sleeves and panels. The shirt has been worn in three semifinals in the prestigious Tournament of Champions of CONCACAF.
