Sampdoria Football
Unione Calcio Sampdoria SpA, better known as Sampdoria were formed in 1946. They play in the Italian Serie A and are their fans sometimes refer to them as the Blucerchiati. Sampdoria play their home games at the 40,122 capacity Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa, Italy.
Sampdoria have won the Seria A once in their history in 1991, they have 4 Italian Cup titles and won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1990. They made the Champions League final in 1992, losing to Barcelona 1-0 in extra time at Wembley Stadium, England.
For home games Sampdoria's colors are a blue shirt with white, red & black horizontal stripes across, white shorts and white socks. The away kit is all black with a similar horizontal striped design.
