Blackburn Rovers kits are currently at play in the Championship after they were relegated from the Premier League in the 2011/12 season. The club play their home games at the more than 30,000-capacity Ewood Park in Blackburn and are nicknamed ‘Rovers’. Blackburn wear blue and white halved shirts which are currently supplied by Macron. The away kit featured a variety of colours, with red, navy and black among those usual ones.

Blackburn Rovers 23/24 Home Kit

Blackburn Rovers continued with tradition as far as their 2023/24 Macron home was concerned. The kit showcased the familiar vertical half-and-half design, where one side was completely blue and the other white. Each side’s respective sleeve went the opposite colour, creating an alternating look. Separating this kit from previous half-and-half Blackburn Rovers primary shirt were the tonal wordings of ‘ROVERS FC’ written in different fonts on the blue spaces of the kit. An off-coloured sky blue accent popped out of the neckline strip, sleeve cuff piping and the panel trim at the back underlining the ‘ROVERS F.C.’ branding below the collar. Speaking of the collar, an offset pinstripe border in blue finished off the overall look.

It featured a quarter design marked by alternating tonal shades and a band of shred-like visuals running down the length of the centre of the shirt. Silver details arised from the monochromatic logos and team crest as well as the collar piping. Below the collar at the backside was the wording ‘ROVERS F.C.’, which was written on a font that once displayed above the turnstiles at Ewood Park and now proudly stands next to the Jack Walker statue.

The away shirt sported a ‘Vermillion Red’ base to highlight the blue colour accents of the narrow sleeve cuffs and v-collar tipping. Aside from the tipping, the v-collar had a prominently-sized ribbed base outline. Blackburn wear blue and white halved shirts, one of the most instantly recognisable in the game. Two early players for the club suggested the design of their school shirts should be used for Rovers’ new kit and their traditional green was changed to the light blue of Cambridge University, at the request of some other players at the time. The design has lasted the test of time, still used on the shirt today; the colour of blue has varied over the seasons as has which half is white and which is blue.

Blackburn Rovers were formed in 1875, they were previously known as Blackburn Grammar School Old Boys, they play their home games at Ewood Park, Blackburn, Lancashire.

The player who has scored the most goals whilst wearing a rovers shirt is Simon Garner, who bagged 168 league goals in his career at the Ewood Park club. Other famous players to pull on the kit include; Alan Shearer, Damien Duff, Ronnie Clayton and Andy Cole.
