Arjen Robben is a Dutch winger and he is most notably known for being one of the most celebrated footballers of all time. Robben has played in several countries winning titles in each including Netherlands, England, Spain and Germany making him one of four players to do so along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Beckham and Mark van Bommel. Arjen Robben was a key player for Bayern Munich in the 2012-13 Champions League campaign helping to win the title where he scored the winner beating Borussia Dortmund 2-1.
Arjen Robben was born on the 23rd January 1984 in Bedum, Holland. He is a Dutch footballer who currently plays as a winger for Chelsea F.C. in the FA Premier League. He is also a part of the Netherlands national football team. Robben started his career at F.C. Groningen in their C-class youth team for the 1999/2000 season. He scored 50 goals in their competitions and gained promotion to the first team as a winger.
He came to the attention of PSV Eindhoven and they bought him at the end of 2001. He played for the club until 2004, apart from a brief loan period in 2002 back to his old club. 2004 and he made his big move to Chelsea although injury kept him out of the side for most of 2004-05. Since his slow start for Chelsea, he has now made 67 starts and scored 15 goals.
Robben was named F.C. Groningen's player of the year during the 2000-01 season and the Netherlands' Young Player of the Year during his time at PSV Eindhoven. He was also the FA Premier League Player of the Month during the month of November 2005 at Chelsea F.C. He has been a regular in the Dutch side since 2003 and has scored for them at a regular rate. At Bayern Munich Arjen Robben helped his side to win the treble in the 2012-13 season winning the UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles.
