Real Zaragoza Football
Real Zaragoza were formed in 1932 from two rival teams Iberia SC and Real Zaragoza CD, the Blanquillos as they are nicknamed play at La Romareda, in Zaragoza, in the Arago region in north eastern Spain. The stadiums current capacity is 34,596 and Real Zaragoza moved there in 1957 from the Torrero which was their original ground.
Famous players to pull on the white shirt of Real Zaragoza include Marcelino, Lapetra, Villa, Canario, and Santos known as los Magnificos in the 1960s. The home kit is those white shirts, blue shorts and white socks, the away strip is all blue.
Real Zaragoza have never won the La Liga, they were placed second once. They have though won the Spanish Cup (Copa Del Rey) six times, the FAIRS cup once and the UEFA Cup in 1995.
