Port Vale Football
Port Vale are an English association football club who were formed in 1876 and joined the football league in 1919. Vale play their home games at 20,000 capacity all seater Vale Park in Burslem, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Like Arsenal, they are one of only two professional clubs in England not to be named after a place, though they originally took the name Burslem Port Vale, just as Arsenal were originally Woolwich Arsenal.
Port vale play their home games in white shirts with a black sleeve and yellow edging, black shorts and white socks. The Port Vale away strip is a combination of pale and dark blues. A couple of famous names have donned the colours of the club, Billy Bingham who ended his playing career at the Vale Park in the mid 1960's and goalie Neville Southall who made just 9 appearances in 1983 between his two spells at Everton.
