Plymouth Argyle Football
Plymouth Argyle Football Club often called the Pilgrims were formed in 1886 as Argyle FC, turning professional in 1903. They are an English football team, based in Plymouth. Argyle play their home games in the 20,900 capacity Home Park Stadium, Central Park, Plymouth, Devon in the South West of England. Their base means they travel considerable distances to some of their away games.
Plymouth play their home fixtures in green shirts with white strips, white shorts and green socks, the Plymouth shirt has most certainly given them another of their nicknames the Greens. The green has been pulled on by two great goalkeepers in the game; Peter Shilton who was also player manager from 1992 to 1995, and Bruce Grobbelaar who played from 1996 to 1997.
