Penarol Football
Club Atletico Penarol better known just as Penarol is a football team from Montevideo, Uruguay. It was founded in 1891. Penarol play their home games in the 65,000 capacity Estadio Centenario in Montevideo Uruguay.
For home games Penarol wear a strip of yellow and black striped shirts, the saying goes these colours originate from railway signs as the club was founded by railway workers. Penarol has won the Uruguayan league on numerous occassions with the most recent success coming in 2002, they also won 5 Copa Libertadores, most recently in 1987, and they have 3 World Club Championships to their name.
