Pele Brazil kit

Pele is considered the Best Footballer ever to grace the world of football. Nicknames he has earned due to his scintillating career include The King of Football, The King Pele or simply The King. At the current age of 67 years, Pele is still a major football figure, being an ambassador for the game worldwide. Pele (or Edison Arantes do Nascimento) started his professional career at Santos in 1956, where he stayed for the majority of his football years. In fact he spent 16 years playing for the club, until 1974, making 605 appearances and scoring an awesome 589 goals, nearly a goal every match he played. Pele played mainly as a striker and his highlights were his technique, athleticism, dribbling, accurate passing, heading, great shot and pace. He converted all these exceptional attributes into a sensational goal tally for Santos and Brazil.

He played for the Brazilian national team between 1957 and 1971, making 92 appearances and scoring 77 goals. Whilst playing for Brazil he won a staggering 3 World Cups, the 1958, 1962 and 1970 events. He is the only player in the history of football to have three golden medals of the World Cup.

Pele retired from football in 1974, at Santos, only to get back into football two years later to play for American club New York Cosmos between 1975 and 1977, scoring 37 goals in 64 appearances. His full retirement from the game came in 1977, but he still has a crucial role to play in the game, being appointed world football ambassador by FIFA.
