Palermo Football
Palermo are an italian football club who were founded in 1898 as Anglo Panormitan Athletic & Football Club and became Unione Sportiva Citta di Palermo in 1987.
The play at the 36,980 capacity Stadio Renzo Barbera, located in the Favorita neighbourhood of Palermo. The ground has had many names over the year but after renovation in 2002, it was named after the Palermo's chairman in the 1960s and 1970s.
The official team colours are pink and black. The team is nicknamed rosanero (referring to the team colours) or aquile (referring to the official logo). Initially Palermo's colours were red and blue, but by 1907 they were playing in the recognisable pink and black you see the players wear today. The club's logo is a pink & black shield with an eagle inside it. Today you will see Palermo play at home in pink & black shirts with black shorts and socks, whilst for away fixtures the team's kit is all white, with a small amount of black and pink in the middle of the away shirt.
