New England Revolution Football
The New England Revolution were formed in 1995 and are a professional soccer club based in Foxborough, Massachusetts., they play in Major League Soccer (MLS). The Revs as they are known play their home games in the 68,750 capacity Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts. It is said that the team name comes from New England's major contribution to the American Revolution against the British rule and subsequent declaration of independence being signed in 1776.
New England's MLS Shirts
The New England Revolution play their home games in strip of blue shirts with white tops to the sleeves, blue shorts and socks. The away strip is reversed, being all white with blue strips on the top of the sleeves of the shirts. The Revs are another of the original League teams who have yet to win any honours, although they have been runners up in: MLS Cup; 2002, 2005 and 2006, US Open Cup; 2001 and MLS Supporters' Shield; 2005.
