Nantes Football
FC Nantes Atlantique is a French football team founded in the city of Nantes during the second world war in 1943. They play their home games in the 38,500 capacity Stade de la Beaujoire, Route de Saint-Joseph, 44300 Nantes in France.
Nantes play wear a strip of yellow shirts, shorts and socks for their home games, with the away strip being all black. Not surprisingly their nickname is the canaries. To date the club has the honour of being crowned French Champion 8 times, having won the French Cup 3 times, the Trophee des Champions twice and in 1996 they reached the semi-finals of the European Champion's League for the first time.
