Manchester United play their home games in red shirts. This is where their nickname the ‘red devils’ originates from. They used to wear green & yellow halves when they were Newton Heath. The green & yellow strip had a revival in the 90s as the away strip in memory of the club’s origins.

Manchester United 23/24 Home Kit

Manchester United’s home shirt for the 2023/24 was made by adidas and utilised a particular ‘Team Collage Red’ for the traditional primary colour. The main feature design though was the repeating geometric pattern of the Lancashire Rose, with the cuts and angles of the lines further invoking thoughts of the Trafford Road Bridge. Black accents coursed through the template shoulder stripes and collar, which further had tippings in red, white and black micro-striping.

The Red Devils sported their known colour identity using a dark shade on their 2022/23 home shirt. The main design element was a set of interconnected and striped right triangles positioned along the edge of the buttoned white polo collar. While not done for the first time, the club symbol sat atop a shield crest underlay, a refreshing touch for the logo placement. Subtle embossed pinstripes across the front and black shoulder stripes completed the look of the adidas jersey.

The clean look of the jersey was interrupted only by the stakeholders’ logos and subtle tonal stripes to highlight the ‘real red’ base colour, the same shade used for the home kit of the previous season. White accents came in from the adidas shoulder stripes, sleeve cuffs, and round collar to complement the base. The jersey was the first Manchester United home shirt under TeamViewer, the club’s new sponsor after Chevrolet.
