Current Premier League champions Manchester City play at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England where they wear wear sky blue home shirts with dark blue trim manufactured by Nike and sponsored by Etihad Airways who have sponsored their shirts for over five years. The away shirt is dark blue featuring a gradient hooped design and the third European shirt is deep purple with volt yellow trim. The deep purple shirt for Manchester City has been a common away colour in the past two decades.
Manchester City are nicknamed just City or the Blues and they wear home shirts of sky blue. A famous face who donned the shirt was Sir Matt Busby who went on to be much better known for his management of big local rivals Manchester United.
