Juventus Football
Juventus Football Club was formed in 1897, the story goes that a group of young students from Liceo D´Azeglio in Turin, needing something to do, decided to start a sports club with the aim of playing football, a sport started in Great Britain, but developing fast in Europe. Today Juventus is a major professional club who play their home games at the Stadio Delle Alpi, Strada di Altessano, Torino.
Juventus wear black and white shirts for their home games, a shirt that has seen many triumphs on the European stage and in domestic competition including the Italian league championship (lo scudetto).
Record goalscorer wearing the Turin team´s colours was Giampiero Boniperti with 179 goals, he is also the player with the highest number of appearances for the club with 444.
