New York Jets Football
Based in New York's metropolitan area, the Jets were formed in 1960 (as the New York Titans) and the Jets were the first American Football League team to win the Super Bowl when they beat the NFL Baltimore Colts 16-7 in Super Bowl III in 1969.
The Jets play in the AFC's Eastern Division at Giants Stadium (The Meadowlands to the Jets) in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a stadium they share with New York's other NFL team the New York Giants.
In 1960 as the Titans, the team wore blue helmets, with a gold trim, and either blue or white jerseys. In 1963 when New York were renamed to the Jets the uniform became white helmets, white pants, and either forest green or white shirts.
