Great Britain Football
The Great Britain national football team is a team consisting of English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish football players. It was a team which took part in the Olympics and 4 friendly matches from 1906-1972.
It won 2 gold medals at the Olympics one in 1908 and one in 1912. In its 4 friendlies it won 2, it won the 1947 Great Britain vs Rest of Europe 6-1 and the 1969 Wales vs Rest of Great Britain 1-0. It lost the 1951 Wales vs Rest of Great Britain 3-2 and the 1955 Great Britain vs Rest of Europe

Its kit has changed it alternated between blue and green and possibly white shirts with white shorts and the shirt colour as sock colour. GB won its first game 12-1 at the Olympic Games in 1908 and suffered its biggest defeat 6-1 to Bulgria (1956 Olympics).
Team Great Britain disbanded in 1974 but the British Olympic Association is looking to resurect the idea and have a team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
