Kappa Wales Away Shirt 08/10

Football pundits of a Welsh vein, would be pleased with their recent victory 3-0 over Norway at the Racecourse. It wasn’t just the quality Welsh display on a terrible pitch that surprised fans, but the debut of the new yellow Welsh away kit.Manufactured once again by Kappa, the kit consists of lemon yellow shirts and shorts accented with traditional Welsh red, replacing the lemon yellow and green shirts previously worn by the Dragons.

2008 Welsh Yellow Away Kit

The yellow shirt is inspired by the heroics of the 1958 Dragons World Cup kit and follows the retro styling seen in recent Welsh kit. It features the same Welsh dragon as seen in the recent home kit release, imprinted into the shirts fabric.

Wales Away Shirt Kappa 2008

Wales shirt, is accented with Welsh red on the collars and in a pyramid under both arms with a black Kappa logo seen on both sleeves. Both the shorts and socks are in the same yellow with the collaring on the shorts finished in Welsh red.

The FAW crest sits on the left hand side over the heart and on the right side of the shorts, with the numbers in their relevant opposite position. As bright as the kit is, the fans hope continued results will see the team shine just as bright.

    I’m not Welsh, but Wales in yellow doesn’t seem right. I’m unimpressed with Kappa shirts. Looking at John Devlins book, in my opinion the Adidas shirts were generally the nicest, but Lottos 1996-8 Home was the most stylish. Yes I am too fat to wear Kappa.

    Supposedly Wales were signing a deal with umbro but with the FAW in charge who knows what’s going on.

    Kappa shirts r made for the same people who can kit it into skinny jeans. This won’t sell.

    Umbro or old skool adidas please.

    Wales have always had a yellow away shirt, there was an awesome one in the seventies and verynow and then ever since. I like it, but its not as good as the last one. The rumour is that Wales are signing a deal with Champion (!) with JJB as distributor. I did’nt think it could go worse than Umbro but it seems it can.
