It would look better if it was smaller and possibly on the arm?

Is that not now a put off for england to win the world cup

  6. D King said,

Agreed it would be better on the arm. The Italy badge would also look better without the silly spiral.

George - “England win the World Cup” you’re having a laugh, England won’t even be at the World Cup.

I agree that the World Cup Champions badge should be on the arm rather than on the middle of the chest, but they should just have the golden World Cup image and the year underneath it rather than a shield & wording - keep it simple. ;)

And D King is right IMO about the spiral on the Italy badge; it complicates the design.

Let’s see it in the Argentina shirt after 2010. I’m brazilian, by the way.

The badge looks rather nice. However - it could have been smaller. As for the placement, it’s probably up to the federation where on the shirt it goes, as per the scudetto badge that’s currently placed in the middle as opposed to the left in previous years (maybe a choice of Internazionale or a directive of the Italian F.A.) who knows.

Its a joke, only reason this has happened is because italy done so poor in Euro’08 they want some attention….even tho the won the cup 2 years ago they want a bloody badge. U dn’t see Spain gettin anything for winning the Euro. and Yes to most comments, a badge on the sleeve like the Champions League or Uefa Cup is much more tasteful than some randon bit centre of the shirt.

I think it looks alright where it is but should be smaller. It’ll never be on the England top in a thousand years though.

  17. Steggz said,

I agree with liam. Just the trophy on the sleeve, simple. As for Spain, that’s up to UEFA. And whether they could wear that while competing in a FIFA competition, that’s another matter. Inter won’t have the Scudetto badge on their European shirts, will they?

What’s wrong with just adding another gold star for each win? This is just another part of Sepp Blatter’s publicity crusade! Everybody know’s it’s the FIFA World Cup and we don’t need a badge on the holder’s jersey to tell us!

    good point Bob

I can’t believe English people still go on about winning the World Cup! I was there during the last one and reading the papers it sounded like “if only Rooney will make it we are gonna win”.
England is only full of media-boosted players. I don’t think Rooney or Gerrard are that good.

I have been playing with English and Irish people, it looks as if playing in defence is a dishonour. People try to score from the own penalty line, there are no passes and NO TACTIC AT ALL. You are never gonna win if you go on like this mates!

They didnt ask for the badge, it was fifa’s idea. it looks cool.
