Wisla Krakow Home & Away Kits

Posted on July 22nd, 2008 in Poland by reddevilrooney

Wisla Krakow are the reigning Champions of the top division in Poland, the Orange Ekstaklasa, finishing the season with 77 points from 30 games. Thus, Wisla will be the only Polish representative in the 2008-09 UEFA Champions League, having to beat their first hurdle of the Second Qualifying Round of the competition, where they will face Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem on the 30th July and 6th August. They have unveiled their new kits for the coming campaign where they will be aiming to keep the trophy at Wisla Stadium.

Kits for Wisla Krakow are designed and manufactured by Umbro, and sponsored by Tele-Fonika Kable S.A. The home shirt will be red, and although it may look plain at first glance, the shirt is rather attractive when taking a closer look. This applies also to the blue away shirt, which will replace last season’s white away kit. The main features of the kit, as shown in the picture below, are:

  • Club name inscribed on the inside of the neck
  • Umbro logo on the chest and both sleeves
  • Hologram on the body of the shirt, showing authenticity
  • The club star on the left shoulder, taken from the club emblem
  • Attractive Wisla Krakow emblem with a golden star above it to commemorate the Ekstaklasa triumphs (11 times)
  • Umbro technology that keeps players cool and comfortable during matches

Both shirts have white details on the shoulders and on the sides, and a white centraslied sponsor logo. The home shirt is complemented by white shorts, while blue shorts complete the away kit.

They used to have a sky blue sash on the home kit. Looked quite stylish and was unique, in Europe at any rate. This is like a thousand other clubs.
