Wigan Kit Launch Date
Wigan have announced the date of their new 08/09 kit launch. The new kit will be launched on July 15. This will be Wigan’s fourth consecutive season in top flight English Football.
Dave Whelan, Wigan’s Chairman said: “”Alongside our principal partner JJB, we have been working on the new home kit for some time and we know that it will be a winner. I am delighted to confirm that the team will again be playing in blue and whites stripes but the exact design is a closely guarded secret until its release.”
The shirt will have the blue and white striped that graced the club’s recent shirt when it was promoted to the Premier League in 2005. The new kit will also feature the club’s new crest as well as a new logo for club sponsor JJB and a new technical partner in Champion.
As soon as it is released, the kit would be available for purchase from JJB Stores, the Wigan athletic online mega store as well as selected alternative retailers.

The new kit will be worn for the first time during the pre-season tour of Austria with games starting on the 19th of July. A new away kit will be also launched in August.
it will be intresting to see what design champion have planned as the stripes look a lot thinner than stripes used in past wigan shirts

Didn’t Champion once make Palma’s kits? Yellow and blue hoops, and a not particularly nice design.
Glad it’s stripes still. I wouldn’t mind seeing the green brought back tho, in some small accent or alternate way.
should be good but i kinda like the 07 08 one but cant wait 4 da new one
wasn’t sure of the champion kit at first but its grown on me and they have made some pretty good kits in the past hopefully they will pull it off with the new crest and jjb logo which both look very professional

Omly time will tell if champion will be as good as umro. But I am not sure. We will see
