White Pinstripe Arsenal 2009/10 Away Shirt
This is a mockup of the expected new Arsenal away shirt for the 2009/10 season. Although it will not be officially unveiled until summer, probably in June when Arsenal are on their training camp, this seems to be what Arsenal will be wearing for games away from the Emirates Stadium. This is a relatively new design used by Nike for European teams, and it remains to be seen what feedback will it get. The sponsor logo, Fly Emirates, and the Nike Swoosh will both be redcurrant.
The main colour used for the new shirt will be white, replacing the current yellow shirt. It will have a long white collar with a thin redcurrant stripe, the same as that on both white sleeves. The entire shirt will have vertical redcurrant pinstripes, which give it a unique style. After a scare where there was the possibility that Arsenal won’t be qualifying for the 2009/10 Champions League, they now look set to make the play-off round. The last time that Arsenal had a white away shirt was between 1963-68, but the present third shirt is white with redcurrant details.

Dec7 – if you read the article it clearly states it is a mock up. It doesn’t say that it is the final copy.
Personally I dislike the shirt, only because it is bland and not that different from the shirt they’ve used this season.

Arsenal last had a white away shirt last season in 07/08, not in 63-68.
It is highly unlikely they will have another white away shirt so soon.
Anyway, what happened to the Green one for next season, a few weeks ago there was an article on this website saying the next shirt will be green, and it was written as though it was all certain and not rumour, now it’s white, which is it to be?

Augustus is right. Whilst the present Arsenal home shirt is a good looking shirt, it is a Charlton shirt not an Arsenal shirt.
An Arsenal home shirt has white sleeves, that is what makes in unique in World Football. (yes I know Rotherham have similar, but they copied Arsenal).
As for the white shirt above, I like it, it is plain and simple. However, whilst white is a good colour for a shirt, it is still too much like Spuds.
So, what will happen to the the green one?

arsenal have rubbish kits especialy the yellow away kit i puked when i first saw it but this one makes me fell even worse
rubbish. I actually liked the green and blue kit from the early 80′s i remember buying that umbro kit (does anyone else remember you got the complete kit in a box) and thinking it looked smart. Its about time Arsenal dropped Nike and went back to adidas, I would like a return to the home and away kits from 86-88. but maybe with longer shorts so my knackers don’t hang out the bottom. lol

Well it seems I am one of very few people but, I actually quite like this shirt. It will be good if the pinstripes are quite faint and also quite spaced out. But overall, if this is the real thing, good job Nike and Arsenal.

Mock-ups by their very nature are fake, as they are “mocked-up” pictures of what a real kit should look like when made!
Also, why on Earth would Arsenal – a team whose predominant home colour is red – be bringing out a red away kit as “brkr” suggests?

i actually love this kit. the nike logo in the pic makes the whole thing look fake anyway but id love to buy one of these instead of the “hunter” green kits that are going around in the net.
If they have stripes on the shirts again, then they cannot use them in European matches because UEFA will not allow the names and numbers to be put on top of the stripes. They ran into problems with UEFA in 2007-8 with the last white away shirt; why would they do it again?
personally , i aint a fan of EITHER green or white…..id prefer the chrome yellow we had a coupla seasons ago (in which we played the CL final)……and the 3rd kit shud be blue….true to arsenal tradition…
