Posted on October 21st, 2006 in West Ham United by admin

Reebok have been making the Hammers shirts for the last three seasons, but next season’s shirts home shirts worn at Upton Park will be made Umbro. The club will have new home and away shirts this summer.

It is the first timeĀ  Umbro will manufacture West Ham United shirt’s although in the 1960s they did make a shirt for the club, but it was never worn for a match.

Cheadle-based Umbro is a world known brand with it’s ‘double diamond’ logo and has been making football kits since the mid-1920s.

Yeah this is what its all about. bringing back old manufacturers to make unforgettable kits for the unforgettable teams. besides they make Englands kit.

Umbro seem to suffer from the same problem as Nike and Adidas, in that they have a set design, and simply colour in the panels to whatever the clubs traditions are. Clubs should be more like Ajax are not mess about with the design of their kits.

yeh true that umbro makes the england kit, and seeming we do produce n play alot of english players [ferdinand bros, lampard, joe cole, carrick] just to name a few… also we r one of the remaining clubs to play nearly an entire 1st XI of english players.

i think that at least 7 of the 1st XI team should be enlish and at least one should support the team they play for
