Banks's BeerThe new League Two Champions have renamed their Bescot Stadium as part of a major new sponsorship deal between Walsall FC and Midland’s brewery Marstons.

Brewers Marstons and their Banks’s Original & Banks’s Bitter brands have increased their ties with the midlands club, extending their work together following eleven years of shirt sponsorship.

Peter Jackson, Marketing Director of Marston’s Beer Company said:

“We are delighted to continue our long running sponsorship with The Saddlers…Banks’s beers are an institution in the West Midlands - as is Walsall FC with their iconic stadium in the heart of the region…We look forward to celebrating more success in League One next season.”

Chief Executive of Walsall Roy Whalley said:

“Banks’s are synonymous with the area and we are proud to carry their name in this unique and high profile manner”.

Some fans aren’t so sure about the deal thinking the stadium name should reflect previous players or the town’s heritage. The ground will be known as Banks’s Stadium.
