Valencia Away Shirt 2011/12 by Joma

Spanish club Valencia CF, which ranked 3rd in the 2010/11 La Liga table to qualify directly to the group stage of the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League, will have Joma shirts for the new season after switching from sponsor Kappa which supplied kits in the past season. Los Che, as they are nicknamed, play home games at the Mestalla stadium which can hold up to 55000 fans. The club won La Liga 6 times in its history, with the latest being 2003/04. They have also won the prestigious Copa del Rey 7 times. Between 1999 and 2001, the club was the losing finalist for two times in a row in the UEFA Champions League, first against Real Madrid and then against Bayern Munich.

The shirts of Valencia continue to be sponsored by Unibet, an online gambling company. The shirt in the picture is the new away shirt that the club will wear in the 2011/12 season. In the history of the club it is the first away shirt to be manufactured by Spanish brand Joma. The body and sleeves of the shirt are striped vertically in yellow and red. The collar is blue and there is a blue stripe on each shoulder.

  1. Prodigy:

Fantastic! I love it! Hopefully the sponsor wont ruin it.

  2. jake:

    thats pure class

  3. Aaron Celtic FC:

this is the new valencia away kit why the yellow and red then blue how about black orange then blue now that would be a kit anyways i’s a two out of five for this season’s away kit

  4. RFC_8:

I like it! Really nice retro look! The only problem is that the sponsor could ruin it!

  5. TOPPER:

Reminds me of Mario Kempes. Very nice traditional design.

  6. geha714:

For Joma, this is a major improvement.

  7. Dave Grohl:

    best kit for a while

  8. Cisr:

    McDonald’s anyone?

  9. Luke:

    @ Aaaro Celtic

because it is called a senyera kit which is like Valencia’s classic away kit and they haven’t had it in ages.

Anyway this a gorgeous kit and probably the best one so far !!!

  10. Luke:

oh and it will not be sponsored by unibet as Valencia are still having them as a main sponsor for the club but they are not putting their sponsor on their shirts.

  11. Kurt Cobain:

One of the few instances when tradional isn’t good.

  12. augustus:

    Yes!

Wonderful kit. The Valencia fans will love this to death.

  13. liam:

Roy of the Rovers would be very proud

  14. Rangers FC:

love this and i’m glad valencia have got joma now, kappa kits aren’t good for peeps with a pot belly lke me!

  15. Super Ally:

actually Footballshirts.com would look well on this shirt,,,, good effort by Joma

  16. Jarkko:

    @Aaron

Look at their club badge, this design is right down the front of it, it is also their traditional kit as stated above. Nike did this with blue sleeves in 2004 and it was class, this too is brilliant, I thought ‘oh no’ when I read Joma but I am pleased with this.

  17. land:

I think the kit nike had made with the blue sleeves way back was better but this has potential

  18. N7 Bluebird:

Utterly superb!! A brilliant shirt! Any chance Joma can come back to do Cardiff’s kits?

  19. Nashid:

Looks great. I’m just wondering how it’s going to look with the sponsor. I love the retro looking shirt.

  20. kenny:

    Great! simple and classic!

  21. aquilanegro:

nice design by joma, let see how will home kit will be…

  22. Kel:

i think the away kit is this colour to do with Catalan Aaron Celtic, i like it althoughi think the black and orange as away colours looks more formidable. Valencia are one of those teams that change their away colours every season, can remember them having an illuminous orange shirt the other year !!! i like it personally

  23. Vincenzo:

    U.S. Lecce ? I don’t Like It …Joma is AWFUL

  24. ForzaMilan:

Why not use this as home kit, would be nice. ;)

  25. Freddybobs:

What a fantastic strip. I notice Levante also use this colour scheme as an away strip (they’re also based in Valencia) but with a modern twist which kind of spoils it. This is the best strip I’ve seen all year.

  26. Alesi95:

Have to agree with Rangers FC about the Kappa shirts and the sizes. Bought a XXL and no where near as big as the Nike from previous seasons so hope these are a better fit for the larger fan

  27. boo:

Aaron Celtic FC, have you ever heard of punctuation?

  28. camisetas imposibles:

It’s not for Club. It’s only for supporters.

  29. MiKi:

This one WILL NOT be the away shirt. Not even the third one. Is a shirt Joma has made “for the supporters” based on the design of the one wore by Kempes in the late 70′s. More classic designs are expected to be released during the next years if this one sells (which I’m sure it will).

Joma official shirts to be worn by players next season won’t be released until July, since Kappa deal expires this month.

I really like this shirt, and would love it to be the third kit, but for the moment it won’t be. Already have the Nike Senyera kit and is one of my favourites, and will try to get this season’s Levante Senyera too.

  30. Dropkix:

Finally a nice shirt from Joma !

  31. Joakim:

As MiKi said, it’s not the away or third shirt for 11/12, but a special shirt made for the fans. But, it has been registered for use in Champions League, which would be a sight to behold if they do well there.

Maybe the reason this isn’t the official third shirt is because Levante beat them to it?
