Under Armour to make Hannover 96’s Kit
On Tuesday Under Armour announced they will be the official kit supplier for the German Bundesliga club Hannover 96. The new Hannover kit will be Under Armour’s first team shirt for a European football club, although they do already supply the likes of 1860 Munich and Reading with other sporting apparel.
Under Armour’s First European Football Shirt
US based Under Armour and Hannover 96 have signed a contract through to the end of 2010/11 season. Talking about the deal Peter Mahrer, President of Under Armour Europe said:
“It is a great honour to be associated with one of football’s most historic teams in Germany, we believe that our high-performance product line of apparel and accessories fits perfectly with the club’s aspirations to reach the top level of the German Football League and to gain European acknowledgment.”
Whilst CEO of Hannover 96 Martin Kind commeneted:
“We are pleased that Under Armour has signed its first Bundesliga football kit suppliers’ contract with Hannover 96. The contract is an expression of trust in the high quality of Under Armour’s innovative products - as well as a sign of trust in Hannover 96’s performance”
So Under Armour have followed Canterbury in to European football shirt manufacture, it will be interesting to see what kind of shirt design they produce for next season. Hannover’s home shirt is red, worn with black shorts and socks, whilst the away kit is nearly all white with a touch of red.

Curious
Tight fit tops looks on the cards.
ok
Gavin is “ok” all you ever say?
givan what team do you support
aaron i write about them all the time we i said we where going to beat man utd this saturday i support newcastle united pride of the north east
If it’s like what Canterbury done in their first football gig with Pompy it’s sure to be good!
Should be interesting. I don’t know about it being tight though, Skins make an AFL team kit in Oz and it’s no different. Just different material and construction I guess.
It will however help the players cos they can use the UA stuff at training etc
Under Armour’s kits will definitely top Canterbury’s for Portsmouth, thought they were awful. Wouldn’t expect tight tops for any football club hopefully.
forssall is great he will be the best because i watch for the birmingham city football club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
