New Trinidad & Tobago Shirts 08/09

These are the home and away kits for the Trinidad & Tobago football team. They will be used for the 2008/09 campaign, the shirts are designed by adidas.

New 2008 Trinidad and Tobago Home Kit

The home kit is red and has three white stripes on the sleeves. The Adidas logo is in the centre, while the Trinidad & Tobago logo appears on the left, when the shirt is worn. The kit also has two small badges on the front bottom. The collar is the same colour as the shirt, that is, red. On the sides, the shirt has touches of black and white.

The away kit has a white base colour. The badges and logos are distributed in the same way as the home shirt. However, the design of the shirt is different. The shirt still has the traditional Adidas 3 stripes on the sleeve, which in this case are red. On the sides of the shirt, there are touches of red. The difference from the home kit is the red wide stripe that extends from the end of the sleeve to the underarm and up to the collar. The away shirt is more attractive than the home shirt.

Trinidad have to pass the Second Round of the CONCACAF World Cup 2010 qualifiers, then compete in a group with another 3 CONCACAF nations for the first place, which would earn them a direct passage to the 2010 event. Trinidad and Tobago have to beat either Bermuda or Cayman Islands (first leg 1-1; second leg 30th March), a game which will be played in June 2008 (1st leg on June 14; 2nd leg on June 21).

    Nice simple shirts. I hope the TTFF will get some sense and re-design that god awful badge but as with their choice the current manager (did they see his CV ?) I wouldn’t hold my breath. How big is Jack Warner’s cut on each shirt they sell? I wonder.
