Swindon Town recall 400 shirts

Swindon Town have been forced to recall more than 400 replica shirts after angry fans found they fell apart in the wash. Supporters have blasted the club after forking out £40 for each top made by Italian manufacturer Lotto only for the badges to peel off when they were cleaned.

Club spokesman Chris Tanner said: “We are dealing with it as best we can. Supporters with a replica shirt may return it to the club superstore where a credit note will be issued.” These vouchers will be valid until September 30, 2008.

Lotto, the shirt manufacturers, is confident the problem has now been resolved, a new consignment of shirts is being delivered and the shirts in stock will be replaced.
