Swindon Town get new shirt sponsor
Swindon Town have agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with EA Sports for 12 months. The League One side signed the contract with leading computer game manufacturer EA Sports, and will earn an undisclosed fee. The shirt manufacturing agreement with Italian brand Lotto will expire soon, and Adidas are rumoured to be the next supplier for the club. The present shirt sponsor is Four-Four-Two magazine, after an agreement was reached in June 2008. Their logo will most likely remain on the front of the shirts.
The electronic gaming company will have their logo placed at the back of the home shirt, and will start appearing on the Robins’ kits for the entire 2009/10 season. The placement of the logos will not be the same on the away shirt. The EA Sports logo will appear on the front-centre of the shirt, while the Four-Four-Two logo will be placed across the shoulders. When asked by Swindon Advertiser, senior public relations manager for EA Sports, Shaun White said:
“EA Sports is excited to be working in partnership with FourFourTwo to co-sponsor Swindon Town Football Club.”
“We both recognise the importance of engaging with clubs from all divisions and we look forward to developing a close relationship with the club, supporters and local community.”
