Sweden World Cup 1958 Anniversary home shirt
Sweden played a friendly against France on Wednesday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sweden hosting the world cup in 1958. Umbro Supported the anniversary by producing a Swedish home kit which resembles the kit worn in 1958.
the shirt is Sweden’s colour of yellow. there is blue piping around the ends of the sleeves and there is a blue collar. There is also an old fashioned lace-up collar design which is blue. The Swedish national flag is on the left of the shirt and the makers, Umbro, have their logo in the top right of the shirt in blue. the shirt is worn with blue shorts nad blue socks.

It’s a fake. Until I see a player wearing it I am not having that, the laces in collar arent even attatched to anything, no holes

Wonderful kit, much better that the last Sweden effort.
Nike must be showing Umbro’s designers how it’s done! Their kits are so much better this year than in the previous few seasons. Hope this is a sign of things to come.

Oh dear god. This is bad. Just an absolute horrible kit. How can they stand to wear that? Oh my dear lord. They must feel like fools in Sweden having to sport that crapola. Just bloody awful, that is. My good god. I just can’t get over how ugly that is. Yellow?? Ya couldn’t have come up with a better color choice? Red? Black? White? Green? Orange? Blue? Pink? Purple? Silver? Gold? Platinum? Transparent? Heck, I would have taken transparent over this hideous color. I think I’ve had my fill; just know that my opinion is that this jersey is terrible, and I am standing by that opinion no matter what anyone says. Sure, you all may think it’s nice, but not me. So go ahead, flame me. You deserve to, because your opinion is wrong. I stand by mine, not by yours. So please, just go away and stop bothering me. Thanks a lot. Have a nice day.

The shirt is not a fake. It was worn against France and will also be worn in another friendly. For the World Cup qualifiers the ‘normal’ shirt will be worn. As for the colour the shirt is based on the one worn in the 1958 World Cup.
Sweden did a similar thing in the cenetary year of 2004 when a gold shirt with navy blue shorts and socks was worn in a couple of friendly internationals.
