Special Vasco da Gama 2009 Brazilian Serie B Champions shirt
In the 2008 season, Vasco da Gama were relegated to the Serie B of the Brazilian Championship after they finished in the 18th place in the table. However, they will be returning to the Serie A, the top division in the country, after winning the Serie B title of 2009. The team is from the city of Rio de Janeiro and plays home games at San Januario stadium, with some important games played at the famous Maracana stadium. The club emblem and the shirts in which it plays it games have a red Order of Christ cross.

To celebrate their return to the top division in Brazil, the club unveiled a shirt at the Maracana Stadium. The shirt is manufactured by Penalty and sponsored by Eletrobras. This shirt has a black base colour with a yellow V-neck collar which has a black inside-edge. The yellow collar is connected to a vertical yellow stripe going down the centre of the shirt. On the stripe, there is the Order of Christ cross, with the text ‘O sentimento nos trouxe de volta’ translating “The feeling brought us back” printed in black on top of it, and the year 2010 printed below the Cross. The sleeves have yellow edges, and there is the logo of secondary sponsor Habib’s printed on them. The player number is yellow, with the text Amor Infinito printed below the number, and the primary sponsor logo (Eletrobras) printed at the top. Black shorts and black socks complete this special kit.
We would like to thankĀ Allan for the information and pictures.

very nice indeed. i like this top. quite unusual for the sponsor to be up and down. i know not unique, just unusual!
That’s a shame.To celebrate the champion of division 2 a big team it’s not a succes.
if you don’t know the greatest history of Vasco da Gama, don’t waste your time complaining, buddy. Vasco had it’s worst moment in past year and it’s a pride for us supporters to have this kit as a gift to celebrate return to division 1. if you don’t know about Vasco, know just a thing: the feeling brought it back. Congratulations, Vasco!!
(by the way, it’s a beautiful shirt though)
