Southampton Away Kit 08/09

This is the new Southampton Away kit for the upcoming season.

The new away strip is mainly grey and is manufactured by umbro. Collar is red and white and red and white designs are seen at the bottom of the sleeves and at the sides of the shirt. Umbro have their logo placed at the upper top right part of the shirt. Southampton’s logo is placed on the top left part of the shirt with club sponsor Flybe.com having their logo placed in the center of the shirt.

The shirt is complemented with grey shorts.

    Well, Peter, as a Saints fan I can tell you we’ve played our away games like training sessions quite a lot recently, so this shirt makes a lot of sense. I like this, but probably because we’ve had so many God awful kits for so long a bin liner would be welcome.

    Have Southampton got a 3rd kit lined up, in case they get drawn against Manchester United in one of the cups, and want to chance their shirts at half time, when they are being out played.

    Nice shirt, but would be better as a keeper’s shirt, with a yellow design similar to this being used as an away shirt.

    lucky they wont be wearing them at St.Marys cos my team played there once in a grey kit and we got hammered off the park cos the kit blended in with the crowd,that was my excuse anyway,the fact that Southampton were the better team and I’m a bad loser is neither here nor there
