Somalia Home and Away Shirts

The East African nation of Somalia has recently released its national football shirts. The nation has never quailified for either the African Nations Cup or the FIFA World Cup and is currently 200th in the FIFA World Rankings.

The side did not make it out of the first round of African World Cup qualifying and is in real turmoil as it can not play its home games at home due to the Somali Civil War.

The home shirt for 2009 is blue in colour and has been designed by Adidas. It features the traditional adidas 3 stripe design on the shoulders and sleeves with a white effect on the front of the shirt much like the Nike goalkeeper shirts. The adidas logo is found on the right shoulder with the team name Somalia in the middle of the shirt.

The away shirt for 2009 is white in colour and has also been designed by Adidas. The shirt is mainly white but includes blue features which are the adidas 3 stripe design on the shoulders and trimmings on the chest and sides of the shirt. The shirt-maker logo is found below the round neck with Somalia found in blue in the middle of the shirt.
