Scotland to wear mystery away kit for Holland match
The Scottish national football team and supporters are eagerly anticipating the match against Holland as part of the qualification stage for World Cup 2010. In fact, the match tickets have already been sold out due to an excessive demand, more than a month before the match. The match will be played on the 28th March at the Amsterdam Arena. Around 20 thousand supporters are expected to travel to the Netherlands for this crucial match which could decide the team’s chance in the qualification group. Netherlands presently top the group with 9 points, while Scotland trail behind them with 4 points. A win would close down the gap to a realistical target. The other nations in Group 9 are Iceland, Macedonia and Norway.

The Scottish national side will wear a mystery away kit for this match. The new kit will be unveiled in this highly-anticipated match. However, on another circumstance when the national team opted for this unveiling method in 2006, against the same Holland, the team was crushed by 6 goals to nil. Scottish supporters seem to be a bit superstitious about this, as can be seen from Hamish Husband’s comments:

“Not another strip! The players and fans can be a superstitious bunch so this might not be the best time to change things. To be honest though I don’t know if Scotland have ever had a lucky strip.”
We will see whether the new away strip will be lucky this time round. The answer awaits one month from now, the big date: 28th March 2009. A hammering or a new beginning?

How…………..Mysterious!
It would be funny if they walked out in all Orange.
now im from england but i think the kit will be pink
Whatever the colour, it will have a yellow streak down the back!
i have heard that the away jersey will be yellow and pink, in the style of the croatia home.
the colours have been used before, in one the the earliest incarnations of the scotland away jersey.
Surely the yellow streak would be on the England strip?
Don’t you all wave white flags as well?
poopshow – We’re English. We have never waved a white flag, and never will.
Good for you.
No need to make pointless derogatory remarks about Scotland. Wonder what the Scots currently in Afghanistan would make of those comments.
Very poor taste, mate.
poopshow – What?? Ok, I’ll join you on you as you go off on a tangent then!!!! Aren’t there English lads there too? (Doing an unbelievable job). I didn’t realise you jocks couldn’t handle banter. Maybe you are just sensitive, that’s your fault, not mine or England’s.
Whats England got to do with it?
I’m never said I was Scottish. I just objected to your stupid comment. I think my comment was relevant seeing you were calling the courage of Scots into doubt.
I suppose its easy to doubt the courage of others when you’ve never had to justify your own.
My stupid comment? What does “I’m never said I was Scottish” mean? I was referring to the current group of players who are picked to wear the Scotland jersey these days. Do any of them have an ounce of what Bremner, Jordan, Miller, Gough, McKay, McNeill, and Greig, to name but a few, had?
I’d love to see a pink Scotland kit again hopefully salmon pink and dark blue, like the first Scottish kits, if they are designed well and look like Juventus or Palermo ace… the last pink one… think i was 2000/01 was awful though but then it was Umbro and there designs back then were terrible!
I have already seen it is white with a blue cross on the shirt ( the scottish flag)
go on the scottish website for proof
that is the current away strip ya tool
love how the english can laugh when that piece a fake **** mite be the real deal and yours wait for it……….£50…gd times
You really hit the nail on the head with this post. There are darn few blogs other than sports, football, or cycling that I even bother to read.
