São Paulo Adriano’s “Imperador” shirt

Posted on July 23rd, 2008 in Sao Paulo by Renato Siviero dos Santos

With the end of Adriano’s loan from Internazionale to São Paulo, the Brazilian team decided to lauch a commemotarive kit for the player:

This is the current São Paulo’s first kit, but instead of the number 10 and tyhe name Adriano, the shirt is being released with the name “Imperador” (emperor, in portuguese), the nickname Adriano received in Italy, and the letter X, representing the roman algarism for 10, linking the nickname with the ancient roman empire, since Adriano plays for the Italian Internazionale.

I can’t get Lucky Goldstar out of my head when I see “LG”. This is a classic shirt but too busy. Perhaps if the LG logo went below the hoops it would look better.
