Rostock announce new shirt sponsor

Posted on August 18th, 2008 in Hansa Rostock by swji

German side Hansa Rostock have announced that the Lubz Brewery will sponsor their shirts starting this season.

The Brewery is a subsidiary of Carlsberg, and has been a sponsor of the club since 1997, but adorns the club shirts for the first time.

Reports suggest that the Willi Horn, the director of the brewery based in Mecklenburg, hopes that the club’s fans will be approving of the new extension of the relationship.

    “Escape To Victory” anyone?
The irony is that the German club Hansa Rostock is sporting a similar shirt to the Allies as opposed to the Germans. I thought both sides had fantastic kits in the film.
    “Victoire! Victoire!”

Excellent! Who said the Germans don’t have a sense of humour? Or is it that they just don’t have terrible English films? Either way I like it.
