Rosario Central Kappa Kits 08/09

Posted on August 7th, 2008 in Argentina by Elete

Rosario Central presented their new kits for the 08/09 season, made by Kappa.

The new home kit has darker tones of blue and yellow, with the logo of the manufacturer in the center, under the collar. To the right, the shirt has the logo of the official club mascot, the cartoon caracter “Soy Canalla,” made famous by the late cartoonist and writer Roberto Fontanarrosa. The club badge is to the right, this time returning to the former crest used in the 80s and 90s. The away kit is yellow, with some details in blue, also including the official club mascot and older badge.

Special thanks to Canalla.com for the pictures.

Rosario Central founded 1889, Hull City founded 1904. Plus this is blue & gold and not black & amber.

it’s nothing like hull. You may as well glibly say “newcastle…”, just cos it has stripes, or “norwich” or “paris st germain” or “ajax”

I agree with Roy, it looks like a Hull shirt at first glace. Sponsor is too big though.

It’s true that the sponsor is too big, and even worse it’s a very ugly logo. But the size and location of the badge, the mascot and the manufacturer are perfect.

Regarding the colors, Rosario Central usually uses a lighter, more saturated blue and yellow; but with this uniform they tried to give a retro look, back in the 50s and 60s Central used this colors.

For the last four matches, due to supersticious matters, the new coach is using the yellow short from the away kit, and it just doesn’t work…
