Retro Tuesdays – France Euro 2000 Home Shirt
Today’s feature of our Retro Tuesdays is the France Euro 2000 home shirt by adidas.
Worn by French legends such as Zidane, Deschamps, Henry and Trezeguet, the shirt was mainly blue with white and red detail around the upper part of the chest. The shirt had a classic blue/white polo neck style collar.
France continued on their World Cup ’98 success and went on to win the European Championships of 2000 which were held in Belgium and Netherlands. The final match was played in Rotterdam. When all hope was lost for the French, Sylvain Wiltord grabbed a dramatic equaliser in the 94th minute to send the match into extra time with David Trezeguet scoring the golden goal in the 103th minute.

Thanks to Jherwyn Anawayne for his submission.

the days when the majority of shirts were tucked in. I remmeber the launch for this – Michelle, Rene and Artur Bostrom unvailing it. good shirt
Nice, but I would have thought the classic France retro kit would be that beautiful thing they wore in the Euros of 1984.
ugly shirt really . france have had some lovely kits but not this one
France haven’t had a good shirt since the trefoil disappeared.
Can’t really think of a bad France kit. Fav adidas kit was the Euro 96 with the string on the collar.
The 1st nike one was a cracker – darker than the adidas blue.
