Reading Kit Launch In July, New Sponsor

Posted on June 20th, 2008 in Reading by zebra10

Reading have today announced that their new kits will be unveiled early next month adding also that they would have a new sponsor.

Waitrose are Reading’s new sponsor and their commercial director Pat Coyne revealed that they are planning to launch the kits in July.

“We’re aiming for the team to play in the new away kit in the friendly at Didcot on 12th July, and for the new home kit to be unveiled at the friendly with Aston Villa on 2nd August.”

Pat was also delighted at the Waitrose deal, saying: “Waitrose are one of best known and best respected companies in country and having their name on our shirt is great for the Club.

“We try to associate with major brands and Waitrose fit that bill.

“We’re aiming to introduce their food and drink products throughout the stadium and there are some fantastic opportunities in that respect.

“Waitrose are keen to engage with our supporters and we are discussing the possibility of various offers and discounts for our season ticket holders, which will be announced in the coming months.”

Waitrose’s commercial directgor Richard Hodgson added that they will be trying to provide a catering area in the Madejski Stadium for corporate guests added to the traditional provision of the pies, hot dogs and drinks.

“It would be great if we could say that the very best food you can buy at any football stadium in the country, including Wembley, comes from Madejski Stadium – courtesy of Waitrose!”

Don’t you get Waitrose in the North East.

Waitrose are a middle class supermarket, expensive and on a par with Marks and Spencer for quality and ethics / morals.
